Job summary

The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) in Eugene, Oregon, seeks a Water Utility Operations Coordinator to join a high‑performing team. You will respond to inquiries from customers, contractors, EWEB crews, and other departments, and dispatch water operation staff.

Key duties include scheduling, maintaining records, processing work orders, coordinating service notifications and assisting with maintenance and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience in utility/construction operations, engineering or customer service.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn EWEB’s water system, policies, procedures and codes.
• Post-offer background check is required; pre-employment requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, schedules and dispatches water operation staff during normal hours, outages and emergencies.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, contractors, EWEB crews and other departments with technical knowledge of the water system.
• Maintain records, create and process work orders, update files and communicate status of work orders.
• Coordinate service notifications, service requests and customer appointments.
• Create, process and finish requests, manage work in Customer and Work Management systems.
• Assist supervisors, mechanics and crew leaders in planning and coordinating maintenance and capital work.
• Coordinate with internal departments on work that interacts with water operations.
• Participate in and support EWEB projects.
