Job summary

You will own the technical and departmental side, inspect losses, develop mitigation and drying plans, ensure ANSI/IICRC S500 compliance, oversee technicians, and write accurate Xactimate estimates, with strong emphasis on documentation and client communication.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT certification required.
• Proven water mitigation experience from initial inspection through completion.
• Strong knowledge of structural drying, psychrometrics, moisture mapping, equipment calculations, and building materials.
• Experience leading mitigation technicians or restoration projects.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively use Encircle, PSA by Canam Systems, and other restoration software.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Water Mitigation Department and its technicians.
• Inspect residential and commercial water losses and develop appropriate mitigation and drying plans.
• Ensure work complies with current ANSI/IICRC S500 standards.
• Direct field technicians on extraction, demolition, equipment placement, structural drying, moisture monitoring, and project completion.
• Write accurate and defensible Xactimate mitigation estimates and supplements.
• Ensure complete job documentation, including photos, moisture mapping, drying logs, psychrometrics, equipment logs, and daily notes.
• Utilize Encircle for mitigation documentation and PSA by Canam Systems for project management and workflow.
• Review and approve mitigation files before billing.
• Communicate with customers, adjusters, and insurance representatives regarding mitigation scopes and technical issues.
• Manage equipment accountability, job quality, department performance, and profitability.
• Train and mentor mitigation technicians and continually improve department procedures.
