Job summary

Aqua Ohio, part of Essential Utilities, is looking for a Field Service Representative to install, maintain meters and remote reading devices, and handle customer service at service locations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid US driver’s license; you must be available for emergency work after hours, weekends, and holidays. OEPA Class I Distribution License obtainable within bargaining unit timelines will be supported.

Qualifications

• Read and process work orders using a tablet or computer.
• Strong written and verbal communications with customers.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask on several projects.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, and maintains meters, remote reading devices and protective devices at the service location.
• Receives and processes work orders and email using a tablet or computer.
• Safely operates and maintains service department equipment and monitors distribution systems.
• Operates and inspects customer service lines, metering devices and appurtenances.
• Operates and maintains assigned vehicle per safety procedures.
• Elevates unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Responds to customer water service inquiries and resolves issues.
• Posts notices per department policies.
• Locates and terminates service for delinquent accounts.
• Assists with other tasks or projects as assigned.
