Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified attorney or law student to support complex water law litigation. You will conduct research, draft pleadings, and assist trial teams across multiple matters in state and federal courts.

The role requires strong writing, research skills, and familiarity with document review platforms like Relativity. The position is full-time and on-site, with opportunities to interface directly with trial attorneys, experts, and clients.

Qualifications

• Must have law degree or be currently enrolled in ABA-accredited law school with at least two years of study.
• Two+ years of progressively responsible experience on litigation support or related projects.
• Strong working knowledge of legal research procedures and resources.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of legal research tools (Lexis/Westlaw).
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets and imaging software.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Amentum’s Lead Project Manager.
• Performs research and analysis on complex water law cases.
• Drafts motions, briefs, and legal memoranda for multiple cases in state and federal courts.
• Uses Relativity for document review (relevance and privilege).
• Assists attorneys across all phases of litigation, including trial support.
• Collaborates with trial attorneys, experts, and clients, both in teams and individually.
• On-site, full-time position.
