Job summary

City of Fort Worth Water Department is seeking a Technical Support Analyst II - Utility Billing System to join the Water IT team and support CIS, IVR, and the Customer Portal. This role focuses on maintenance, configuration, and end-user support across Utility Billing applications in a municipal utility environment.

You will collaborate with business users to translate requirements into technical specifications, implement modifications, and assist with testing, security reviews, and disaster

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CS/MIS or related field required.
• 2 years in information systems technical support.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• On-call rotation participation required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of the Utility Billing System applications.
• Provide admin/configuration and support for Utility Billing and related systems.
• Work with business users to translate requirements into technical specs and develop interfaces.
• Verify hardware, servers, databases, and integrations perform efficiently.
• Assist users with data analysis and ad-hoc reports.
• Participate in security reviews and remediation activities.
• Install, upgrade, configure, test and maintain third-party software.
• Ensure backup jobs run and succeed.
• Coordinate system upgrades, migrations, patches with divisions and vendors.
• Create and maintain system documentation and SOPs.
• Document changes per change management.
• Assist training of colleagues and end users.
• Adapt to new technologies and provide recommendations.
• Provide knowledge transfer to IT staff.
