Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university.
  • 4 years’ experience in municipal water and sewer projects or related civil engineering design.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Familiarity with EPD Permitting and Minimum Standards for Public Water Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develops engineering specifications for project construction based on assessments and approved plans.
  • Calculates cost estimates and identifies resources needed for projects.
  • Participates in bid preparation, contractor selection, and acts as County liaison for water and sewer projects.
  • Reviews work of contracted engineers, surveyors, and project personnel; approves designs as appropriate.
  • Monitors project schedules, reviews progress reports, and schedules inspections for regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinates with supervisors, departments, inspectors, contractors, utilities, and agencies to resolve problems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field
