Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and five years of utility engineering experience with exposure to field construction required.
  • Three years of supervisory experience required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and evaluates assigned staff; directs work assignments and performance appraisals.
  • Reviews water and sewer construction plans for compliance with ACC standards.
  • Plans, designs, supervises, and reviews public utility construction projects.
  • Coordinates field surveys and GIS mapping for public utilities.
  • Provides public policy information to the public and plans/installations of utility lines.
  • Tracks progress and performs final inspections of contracted public utility projects.
