Job summary

H 2 O Innovation seeks a Director of Project Construction to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the East Coast. The role oversees from preconstruction through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.

The position is partly remote with significant field leadership responsibilities, requiring strong technical guidance and stakeholder communication to deliver high-quality, safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management and field operations.
• Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Certifications CCM or PE are desirable.
• Leadership and mentoring of staff across teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites (likely >50%).

Responsibilities

• Manage preconstruction activities including design review, procurement and bidding.
• Lead and oversee construction projects to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Serve as owner’s representative for program execution.
• Conduct progress meetings and provide stakeholder updates.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks and control costs.
• Collaborate with business development on proposals and materials.
• Ensure timely invoicing and accurate cost reporting.
• Develop, mentor and manage field teams for effective execution.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Review construction drawings and specifications.
