Job summary

ARIZONA WATER COMPANY is seeking an Engineer Intern to assist Engineers, Designers and Project Managers in designing water infrastructure projects in Phoenix. Under supervision, you will help with design, cost estimates, specifications, field surveys, and monitoring budgets and schedules.

The role requires enrollment in a Bachelor's program in civil or mechanical engineering, strong math skills, and the ability to read contracts and drawings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; enrolled in a civil/mechanical engineering bachelor's program.
• Competent in mathematics as applied to engineering calculations.
• Ability to read specifications, contracts, and drawings; learn construction interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers, Designers and Project Managers in designing water systems.
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, work authorizations and contracts.
• Observe projects, monitor budgets and schedules; support field surveys and inspections.
