Job summary

Stantec in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our multi-disciplinary water team. You will work with experienced practitioners on projects from planning through construction, gaining hands-on experience in electrical design for water infrastructure such as treatment plants and pump stations.

You will collaborate with project teams, perform calculations, and develop drawings under supervision, while building skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college/university and/or on summer break between semesters.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within the team.
• Must be willing and able to take initiative when needed.
• Good MS Office skills including Word and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
• Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to produce high quality work products for water clients under the supervision of a professional engineer.
• Perform engineering calculations, prepare design drawings and specifications, and assist with technical reports.
• Assist in designing electrical infrastructure for water and wastewater plants and pump stations.
