Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Construction Manager to lead two Inspectors and coordinate water facility network construction for Company and Developer projects. You will ensure compliance with plans, schedules, and specifications while managing costs and capital inventory.

You will supervise on-site construction administration, enforce safety programs, coordinate with regulators and customers, and review as-built plans and payments to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Requires 10–15 years water utility construction experience.
• BS in Construction Management preferred.
• Experience with inventory management.
• Experience with GIS/GPS equipment and information analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assists in constructability, operability and maintainability review of new construction design documents.
• Coordinates construction activities with operations and Transmission & Distribution groups.
• Will decide on the proper construction techniques as well as schedule construction operations into logical and detailed steps.
• Instructs construction inspectors and tracks the progress of construction operations such as the arrival and utilization materials, supplies, and contractors.
• Ensures that needed permits and licenses for projects are secured by Project Manager (PM).
• Manages on-site construction administration and inspection.
• Maintains the project’s document control system.
• Reviews and approves contractor payments.
• Coordinates construction, scheduling, and inspection of new and replacement infrastructure projects.
• Reviews and approves as-built plans of completed jobs to ensure accuracy and compliance with Company standards.
• Manages capital projects as assigned.
