Qualifications

• Mechanical ability to understand operation of pumps, valves, motors and related equipment.
• Knowledge of distribution/collection systems or field operations is a plus.
• Outdoor work in seasonal weather conditions is required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up barricades and safety lights around work site.
• Locates, lays, repairs and extends underground water mains and distribution pipes.
• Operates valves, fittings and related equipment as part of maintenance and construction tasks.
• Obtains and records water meter readings for accurate billing.
• Responds to customer inquiries professionally and documents field observations.
