Job summary

The City of Red Wing is accepting applications for a full-time Collection & Distribution Operator/Assistant Operator in the Public Works Department - Public Services Division. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule and focuses on maintaining the water distribution and sewer systems to ensure safe, high-quality water for residents.

Starting pay is $31.11 per hour for Assistant Operator and $34.53 per hour for Operator.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess operator certificates listed above.
• Must pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair water distribution and sewer collection systems.
• Operate and monitor treatment facilities, pump stations, wells, and reservoirs.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and rounds; follow SOPs and checklists.
