Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $18-$21 per hour based on experience; Certification Pay both for Water and WasteWater.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the Public Works Operator position provides support for the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater collection and distribution systems. The Operator will train and/or assist other staff members, ensure adequate equipment and supplies are available for completing assignments. They will also perform parks maintenance as needed, serve as meter reader for water services, and operate any equipment including heavy equipment as needed to complete specific job tasks.

Able to perform difficult labor, including lifting heavy equipment and/or materials; also capable of bending, stooping, and twisting to complete job tasks.

Schedule

8 hour shift; on call; weekends as needed.

Qualifications

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred).

License/Certification: Driver's License (Required); Water Class D – Preferred; Wastewater Class D – Preferred.
