Las Vegas Valley Water District is hiring Distribution System Service Person I (Flex) at Valley View Campus in Las Vegas. The role is a 4/10 shift, with hourly pay starting at $31.45 and potential flex to a higher level with a starting rate of $38.22 after 6–12 months.

Under supervision, you’ll install, repair and maintain distribution mains, service lines, and meters, with duties spanning from excavation to valve operation, hydrant work, and QA in compliance with UDACS and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• One year of utility or public works-related maintenance and construction work.
• A Nevada commercial driver's license, Class A with tanker endorsement, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• A Nevada State Environmental Protection Division Water Distribution Operator I Certificate within six months of hire.
• A Nevada State Environmental Protection Division Water Distribution Operator II Certificate required to flex to Distribution System Serviceperson II.
• Display ability to work in varied weather and environments; pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsabilités

• Perform distribution system maintenance and repair on water mains and service lines in the Las Vegas Valley area.
• Install, repair and replace meters and related appurtenances; operate valve trucks and maintain records in work order systems.
• Follow safety, environmental and regulatory guidelines, and coordinate with dispatch and crews.
