Job summary

City Utilities in Springfield, MO is seeking a Water System Installer to join our team for the initial 6 months of full-time work. Under supervision, you will install, repair, and maintain water mains, valves, hydrants, and services, and support trenching, pipe joining, and meter installation.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least six months of water distribution experience (two years in other underground utilities accepted), and the ability to obtain a Missouri CDL Class B with air

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months minimum experience in water distribution construction; two years in other underground utilities acceptable.
• Ability to obtain Missouri CDL Class B with air brakes within six months.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain water mains, valves, hydrants, and services.
• Assist with trenching, tying in new mains and meters.
• Work outdoors, lift heavy loads, and operate hand and power tools.
