Job summary
GFT is seeking a Water Design Engineer to join our team in the Northeast with a hybrid-remote format requiring three on-site days per week. You will help plan, design and oversee water, wastewater and municipal projects, including site visits, reports, and permit applications.
The successful candidate will have a BS in civil/environmental engineering, 1–4 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering software, and FE/EIT eligibility within 3 months of hire.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
- 1–4 years' water/wastewater engineering experience.
- FE exam completed or to be obtained (EIT) within 3 months of hire.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and standard engineering software.
Responsibilities
- Assist planning, design and construction of water/wastewater projects.
- Conduct site visits, prepare reports and design documents.
- Develop design plans, specs and cost estimates.
- Review zoning plans and stormwater/permitting documents.
- Prepare federal, state and local permit applications.
- Perform construction observation and field services.
- Prepare grant/funding applications.
