Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer to join our Water team in a hybrid work environment. You will lead design and optimization of water and wastewater treatment facilities, conduct hydraulic analyses, and ensure regulatory compliance on diverse infrastructure projects.

The role requires a PE license (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months) and 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater design, with MS preferred. Location options include multiple offices.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering required.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• 8+ years of water/wastewater design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of water and wastewater treatment facilities and pumping stations.
• Perform hydraulic analysis of plants, pumps, and piping.
• Analyze lab data and chemical usage to resolve issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety in projects.
• Manage projects from design through commissioning.
• Develop cost projections and feasibility studies.
