Job summary

BELFOR USA is seeking a Water Damage Technician II to provide operational support in mitigation for clients, performing water pumping and extraction, mold remediation, and setting drying equipment under supervision.

You will follow team leader instructions, maintain MSDS protocols, inspect vehicles, build containment systems, install Injectidry/Directed-In/Octi-Dry systems, and use extraction tools while protecting client belongings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to identify consumables, usage and disposal requirements with training.
• Must have knowledge of various pump systems.
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy.
• Possess sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• English language literacy and fluency.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from the team leader.
• Know and understand the MSDS protocols for chemical products used during mitigation.
• Perform daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance and keep these clean and in perfect condition.
• Attention to details.
• Demonstrate mastery of the Book of Damage Caused by the Water of BELFOR.
• Under supervision, use scraper and rinse rod, weighed trawl, extractor, water extractor, portable extraction unit and drainage systems.
• Build adequate containment systems using appropriate calculations and equipment.
• Properly use cleaning/disinfecting solutions and debris removal techniques from confined areas.
• Use lifting techniques, sliding pads, polystyrene blocks; protect client belongings.
• Remove vapor barriers, label recoverable cuttings, make air holes, install Injectidry/Directed-In/Octi-Dry systems, and use meters.
• Comply with BELFOR standards to safeguard client property.
• Maintain deep knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
• Work with time constraints to meet deadlines.
• Travel and work at night and on weekends as needed.
• Inform in a timely and accurate manner about time worked and equipment used.
• Attend BELFOR operations and required safety training.
