Job summary

Mi-Tech Services, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Water Conveyance Engineer to design and support water/wastewater conveyance systems. You will develop hydraulic models, prepare drawings and reports, and assist construction through RFIs and shop drawings. Travel to project sites may be required. PE license and 3+ years in conveyance are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
3+ years of experience designing or supporting water and wastewater conveyance systems.
Solid understanding of hydraulic principles and pipe materials.
Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations (AWWA, ASTM, ASME, local requirements).
Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, construction teams, and clients.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Designs, analyzes, and supports water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure (force mains, gravity sewers, bypass systems).
Develops hydraulic calculations and models; prepares drawings, specifications, and reports.
Supports construction with RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and field issue resolution.
Coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders; ensures compliance with codes and regulations.
Contributes to constructability reviews, temporary bypass planning, value engineering, cost estimates, and scheduling.
