Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 3+ years of experience designing or supporting water and wastewater conveyance systems.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic principles and pipe materials.
  • Experience with industry standards and regulations (AWWA, ASTM, ASME, local codes).
  • Experience using design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, construction teams and clients.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

The Water Conveyance Engineer designs, analyzes, and supports water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure, including force mains, gravity sewers and temporary bypass systems. This role involves developing hydraulic calculations and models, preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports, and supporting construction through RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and field issue resolution. The engineer coordinates with internal project teams and external stakeholders, ensures compliance with applicable codes and regulations, and contributes to constructability reviews, temporary bypass planning, value engineering, cost estimates, and schedule considerations throughout the project lifecycle.

What it takes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
