Job summary

Mi-Tech Services, Inc., Houston, TX, seeks a Water Conveyance Engineer to design and support water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure. You will develop hydraulic calculations, prepare drawings and technical reports, and assist construction with RFIs and shop drawings.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental/Mechanical engineering background, a PE license, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 3+ years of experience designing or supporting water and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic principles and pipe materials.
• Experience with industry standards and regulations (AWWA, ASTM, ASME, local codes).
• Experience using design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, construction teams and clients.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze water and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Develop hydraulic calculations and models for projects.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Support construction through RFIs, shop drawings, and field issue resolution.
• Coordinate with internal project teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with codes and regulations and contribute to constructability reviews.
