Job summary

Mi-Tech Services Inc. is seeking a Water Conveyance Engineer to design and support water and wastewater conveyance systems, including force mains and gravity sewers.

The role emphasizes hydraulic calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and field issue resolution, with collaboration across project teams and stakeholders. You will ensure compliance with codes and regulations, contribute to constructability reviews, and assist with cost estimates and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 3+ years of experience designing or supporting water and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic principles and pipe materials.
• Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including AWWA, ASTM, ASME, and local municipal requirements.
• Experience using engineering design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, construction teams, and clients.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed to support design and construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Designs, analyzes, and supports water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure.
• Develops hydraulic calculations and models; prepares drawings, specs, and reports.
• Supports construction through RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and field issue resolution.
• Coordinates with internal project teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with codes and regulations; contributes to constructability reviews and cost estimates.
• Assists with temporary bypass planning, value engineering, and scheduling considerations.
