Job summary

Ramboll in the Water US, Construction Management Division seeks a Resident Engineer to oversee diverse water construction projects from conception to completion in the New York area. You will apply standard techniques and exercise independent judgment to implement design adaptations when needed.

You will guide crews and project teams, analyze engineering concepts, and ensure contract compliance and safe, efficient execution across stages of a complex program.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting or other relevant technical curriculum, and 4+ years of qualifying engineering experience working in the engineering/design field.
• Ability to make decisions affecting the cost and performance of the work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction personnel to ensure procedures, methods and materials follow the contract documents.
• Direct Superintendents, Project Managers, Foreman to comply with contract documents.
• Ensure project components meet engineering requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations for pump performance, concrete mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical adequacy.
• Prepare cash flow calculations from critical path schedule and schedule of values for budget and monitoring of progress.
