Job summary

Aurora Water is seeking a Project Engineer with a focus on capital project delivery to support its source-of-supply system. The role involves coordinating infrastructure projects, modeling, master planning, and asset management with Operations and City partners.

Positions range from Project Engineer I to Senior Engineer, offering growth with increasing responsibility. Hybrid work, generous benefits, and a path toward Professional Engineer licensure are available.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or closely related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience for Project Engineer I.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience for Project Engineer II.
• More than 8 years of relevant experience for Senior Engineer.
• Colorado Professional Engineer license or reciprocity within 6 months is preferred.
• Colorado driver's license with good driving history; PMP considered a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office, GIS, ProjectMates, and scheduling software is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects supporting Aurora Water's source-of-supply system and related programs.
• Review drawings, specs, reports, and documents for compliance with standards.
• Coordinate consultants/contractors, procure services, develop scope, schedule, and manage delivery.
• Collaborate with Operations, City departments, consultants, and partners on engineering needs.
• Identify and resolve technical, budget, schedule, and project delivery issues.
• Communicate technical and project information to stakeholders.
• Represent Aurora Water in meetings and advance organizational priorities.
