Job summary

City of Aurora is seeking an Engineer I/II or Project Engineer I to support Aurora Water's capital project delivery program. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specs, coordinating with designers, consultants and contractors, and applying project management methodologies to ensure successful project delivery.

The role involves collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and a focus on meeting project objectives within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: varies by level; EngineerI none required, EngineerII 2+ years, Project Engineer I 4–6 years.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specs, and reports; ensure compliance with City standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and third parties.
• Manage RFP process and project communications.
• Apply project management methodologies to deliver capital projects.
