Qualifikationen

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Backflow Tester Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Class “3” Distribution Operator License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with backflow prevention and cross-connection controls is preferred.
• FEMA IS-100 and IS-700 certifications or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Aufgaben

• Develops and maintains tracking spreadsheets for data management and oversight of field investigations.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local codes related to drinking water standards.
• Issues citations for cross-connection and backflow violations.
• Contacts customers to ensure compliance with backflow device requirements.
• Monitors notices to owners for annual testing requirements.
• Maintains records for backflow devices, locations, inspections, and testing.
• Performs surveys of plumbing systems to identify cross-connection hazards and recommends devices.
• Inspects backflow devices within the city service area and prepares inspection reports.
• Receives and responds to customer questions, complaints, and contractor inquiries.
