Job summary

California Water Service Group in Washington is seeking a Cross Connection Control Specialist (CCCS) to inspect and survey piping systems, determine backflow prevention needs, and oversee compliance with state and company requirements.

You will work with customers, contractors, and local officials, maintaining records and preparing reports while staying current with backflow certifications and regulatory rules. This is an on-site role with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a working knowledge of basic word processing and email programs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect backflow prevention assemblies and enforce state and company cross-connection control requirements.
• Perform cross-connection control surveys of piping systems (fire, irrigation, domestic).
• Determine level of backflow protection required based on piping, volume, and flow.
• Test backflow prevention assemblies and maintain tester certification records.
• Maintain database and prepare reports; communicate with customers, contractors, and officials.
• Terminate water service for noncompliance and track compliance.
