Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of experience in water distribution and backflow prevention.
• State of Georgia Water Distribution Certification required.
• Driver’s license valid in the State of Georgia.
• Experience with backflow prevention devices and regulatory compliance helpful.

Responsibilities

• Examine water usage, perform cross-connection testing, and identify backflow prevention needs.
• Check installation of backflow assemblies against codes and rules.
• Monitor maintenance and replacement of backflow devices via inspections.
• Coordinate inspections with contractors, engineers, and government agencies.
• Prepare inspection reports and notify customers of backflow violations.
