Veolia in North America is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator to participate in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater treatment facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring pumps and valves, collecting samples, performing tests, and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, some wastewater experience, and the ability to operate motors and various hand tools. A valid driver's license is required.

Formación

• Ability to communicate with all levels including team, management, clients, and vendors in a professional manner both orally and in writing.
• Safety procedures in maintenance and operations.
• The employee must be able to operate electric motors fueled by gasoline, diesel, or gaseous fuels, paint, welding, and fabrication equipment, and other hand tools required.

Responsabilidades

• Monitors and operates wastewater treatment plant equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, blowers, and chemical feed equipment; adjusts and repairs equipment; collects samples and tests; records data.
• Participates in treatment processes, plant laboratory analyses and operation/maintenance of plant equipment.
• Ensures all plant records and reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Furnishes assistance to regulatory representatives inspecting the plant.
• Responds to and controls accidental releases of hazardous liquids and gases; performs confined space entries as required.
• Manages daily logbook and data entry; observes equipment operation and weather conditions.
• The role involves exposure to varying outdoor conditions and moderate noise levels.
