VACCO Industries, a Subsidary of ESCO Technologies Inc., is seeking a wastewater treatment operator in California to manage and monitor water treatment processes, equipment, and chemical handling. The role emphasizes maintaining safe operation, accurate recordkeeping, and adherence to environmental permits and procedures.

The position requires reading gauges, sampling, balancing chemical treatment, and routine maintenance of pumps, valves, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Must have basic reading comprehension and writing ability for reports and instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for safety and operations.
• Ability to interpret safety rules and procedural manuals.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and adjust meters and gauges to ensure proper operation of the system.
• Sample and measure water quality, repair valves, pumps and equipment.
• Treat waste process chemicals and rinse water per SOPs.
• Operate wastewater system, record readings, collect samples.
• Manage tank levels and documentation, perform daily inspections and log keeping.
• Operate filter press and sludge dryer; manage hazardous waste handling and storage.
• Hard copy logs and spill logs; support emergency response as needed.
