Job summary

Brasstech is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator I to support the designated facility’s wastewater treatment operations, including inspection, monitoring, and maintenance for pump stations.

Responsibilities include operating treatment facilities, calibrating pH meters, maintaining inventory, ensuring safety, and performing equipment repairs. Valid CAD license and a WT certification are required, with opportunities to work shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wastewater, water reclamation, and related treatment processes.
• Knowledge of methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in the inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance repair and operation of pumps.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot a problem or situation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and systems involved in wastewater treatment and associated processes.
• Perform scheduled lubrications, cleaning of channels, tanks, sumps, repacking of pumps.
• Return plant equipment and processes to operating status after shutdowns or outages.
• Calibrate chemical analyzers and keep work records.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Perform general cleanup of tools, equipment and areas including spills and hazardous waste.
