Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator I to manage day-to-day wastewater operations at our Minnesota facility. The role requires operating the treatment system, monitoring controls, and performing routine maintenance to meet discharge limits.

The candidate will document readings, run periodic tests, and assist with sludge handling. The position offers a starting rate of $23.78/hour with pay raises within the first year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year wastewater treatment experience or equivalent training/certification strongly preferred.
• Wastewater Operator Certification required by state agency or within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate the wastewater treatment system in compliance with discharge limits.
• Operate sludge processing and disposal equipment to control flow and processing.
• Monitor control panels and adjust valves to regulate flow and chemicals.
• Start/stop pumps, engines, and generators to control wastewater flow.
• Maintain operation logs and record readings; perform routine inspections.
• Perform sampling and basic analysis of wastewater processes and monitor safety.
