Job summary

Agropur Cooperative in Minnesota is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator I to manage daily operations of the treatment plant, monitor process controls, adjust flow and chemical dosing, and maintain accurate logs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of wastewater experience or relevant certification, and a state wastewater operator license or the ability to obtain it within a year. Starting pay is $23.78 per hour with two increases within a year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year wastewater treatment experience or equivalent training/certification.
• Basic mechanical competency with pumps and automation.
• Wastewater Operator Certification required by state agency or obtained within one year of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate the wastewater treatment system in compliance with discharge limits.
• Monitor and control flow using panels and remote adjustments.
• Record meter readings and maintain logs.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of plant equipment.
• Assist with load-out of sludges and sample analysis.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and adhere to GMPs.
