Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. is seeking an experienced wastewater operator to perform complex technical work in operation and maintenance of treatment facilities.

The role requires monitoring processes, collecting samples, and maintaining records to ensure safe, compliant wastewater treatment. The position demands 5+ years of experience, AZ ADEQ Grade 3 license, and ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years of wastewater treatment operations experience.
• Arizona ADEQ Grade 3 Wastewater Operator License required for AZ locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Monitor pumps, motors, valves, and related systems.
• Collect samples and perform laboratory tests.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and compliance records.
• Respond to alarms, process upsets and equipment failures.
