Zekelman Industries is seeking a Waste Water Technician in Rochelle, IL to operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems, manage waste inventories, and support environmental compliance. You will work with operations and external vendors to ensure safe, compliant facility operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3–5 years in manufacturing, industrial, utilities, environmental, or wastewater treatment preferred.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
• Monitor, calibrate, and maintain pH instrumentation and related treatment equipment.
• Perform wastewater sampling, laboratory testing, and process adjustments as necessary.
• Record water meter readings, pH readings, and other required operating parameters.
• Coordinate chemical deliveries and maintain chemical storage areas.
• Maintain environmental records, logs, manifests, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
• Assist with environmental audits and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies.
• Train employees on environmental procedures and waste management practices.
