Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental seeks a Wastewater Technician for our Wastewater Treatment Team. The role is on-site in Somerville, MA, operating and maintaining treatment systems, calibrating instrumentation, and documenting observations and work performed.

We value mechanical aptitude and independence, with on-call shifts and safety requirements. Strong problem-solving, PLCs, and electrical familiarity are important, along with readiness for overtime and a proactive, professional approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to work independently and report during emergencies.
• Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable with tools and electrical controls.
• Comfortable with computer use and spreadsheets.
• Willing to work overtime and Monday–Friday hours.
• Must consent to screenings and random drug testing.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds; safety-sensitive role.
• Wastewater license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems and equipment.
• Maintain logs, driving records, and administrative forms.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot flow devices (Sigma, ISCO, Foxboro).
• Maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Collect wastewater samples and set up samplers.
• Assist with repairs, upgrades, and installation of equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to customers.
• Act as a self-starter, professional and responsible at all times.
