Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking an Environmental Technician to support operations around the North Shore of Massachusetts. The role involves daily maintenance and inspection of treatment plants and pump stations to ensure reliable water and wastewater service.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of mechanical experience, be able to lift 50 pounds, and possess a valid driver’s license. Training to obtain operator licenses is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Will be required to respond to emergencies, work shift, on-call, weekends, and holidays, as assigned
• A high school diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of one year of mechanical experience are required
• Must have good written and verbal communication, customer service, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to obtain a wastewater treatment and/or water treatment operator’s license within 1 year of employment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of treatment plants and pump stations within the service area.
• Perform daily inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment at wastewater and water treatment plants and pump stations, as assigned
