Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies seeks a Wastewater Operator to manage the plant systems and equipment at a wastewater facility located in the Greendale, IN area. The role emphasizes monitoring, sampling, and data-driven process adjustments to ensure compliance and efficient operation.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, basic wastewater licensing preferred, and strong communication and mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wastewater entry-level licensing or certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability and willingness to work 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of the wastewater facility across scheduled shifts (primarily 12-hour nights).
• Operate and control pumps, motors, and valves to regulate water flow; collect and test samples.
• Analyze lab data to identify issues and implement process changes to prevent non-compliance.
• Coordinate with operators and Veolia management to maintain equipment and determine treatments.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with minor repairs (pumps, valves, piping).
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operating data reports for Veolia and clients.
• Coordinate with Veolia purchasing and client to schedule third-party maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
