Job summary

gpac is partnering with an established food manufacturer to recruit a Wastewater Technician for the first shift. You will be hands-on, maintaining wastewater systems and supporting operations in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and safe work practices, with overtime possible and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation includes a $1.50 weekly attendance bonus in addition to hourly pay.

Qualifications

Must have mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and solve problems.
Comfortable around industrial equipment in wet or varying temperatures.
Overtime availability, including some Saturdays.
Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems.
Perform daily oiling, greasing, and preventative maintenance on pumps and equipment.
Conduct chemical testing, drawdowns, and jar tests to maintain proper treatment levels.
Monitor pH levels, calibrate probes, and document readings.
Inspect pumps, water flow, and chemical delivery systems; adjust as needed.
Monitor water pit levels and wastewater system performance.
Maintain chemical inventory and coordinate timely reorders.
Complete required operation logs and documentation.
Follow all food safety, environmental, and workplace safety procedures.
Assist with other wastewater operations and maintenance tasks.
