Job summary

gpac is partnering with an established food manufacturer to recruit a Wastewater Technician for the first shift. You will be hands-on, maintaining wastewater systems and supporting operations in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and safe work practices, with overtime possible and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation includes a $1.50 weekly attendance bonus in addition to hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Comfortable around industrial equipment in wet or varying temperatures.
• Overtime availability, including some Saturdays.
• Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems.
• Perform daily oiling, greasing, and preventative maintenance on pumps and equipment.
• Conduct chemical testing, drawdowns, and jar tests to maintain proper treatment levels.
• Monitor pH levels, calibrate probes, and document readings.
• Inspect pumps, water flow, and chemical delivery systems; adjust as needed.
• Monitor water pit levels and wastewater system performance.
• Maintain chemical inventory and coordinate timely reorders.
• Complete required operation logs and documentation.
• Follow all food safety, environmental, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with other wastewater operations and maintenance tasks.
