Job summary

GPAC partners with a premier Western Ohio meat processing organization seeking a motivated 1st Shift Wastewater Technician to maintain a state-of-the-art facility with stainless-steel equipment and robust process controls. You will operate, inspect, and optimize wastewater systems, collect samples, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of industrial wastewater treatment experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with chemical dosing, pH monitoring, and pump troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.).
• Perform daily inspections of the wastewater system and record operational data.
• Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and adjust chemical treatment as necessary.
• Perform probe calibrations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on pumps and treatment systems.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs, operational records, and compliance reports.
• Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
