Job summary

gpac is partnering with a well-established food manufacturing company to hire a Wastewater Technician for the 1st shift. You will monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure proper treatment levels.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn and problem-solve.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems.
  • Perform daily oiling, greasing, and preventive maintenance on pumps and equipment.
  • Conduct chemical testing, drawdowns, and jar tests to maintain proper treatment levels.
  • Monitor pH levels, calibrate probes, and document readings.
  • Inspect pumps, water flow, and chemical delivery systems while making adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor water pit levels and overall wastewater system performance.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and coordinate timely reordering.
  • Complete required operational logs and documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Assist with other wastewater operations as needed.

What You'll Do
  • Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems
  • Perform daily oiling, greasing, and preventative maintenance on pumps and equipment

What We're Looking For
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Comfortable working around industrial equipment in wet or varying temperature environments
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including occasional Saturdays
  • At least 18 and authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, industrial, wastewater, or production experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Stable work history
