Job summary

The City of Ammon seeks a skilled wastewater technician to operate and maintain wastewater systems, lift stations, and related equipment. You will collect samples, log data, assist in training, and support safety programs while complying with state and federal requirements.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, and implementing improvements in collaboration with the Wastewater Foreman. A high school diploma is required; an AA degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; AA degree preferred.
• Two years’ public works wastewater maintenance experience preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater systems and lift stations.
• Take samples, update logs, and assist in training programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Conduct inspections and ensure safety compliance per regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisor on operations changes and improvements.
