Job summary

St. Mary is seeking a maintenance technician to perform corrective and preventive work on electrical and mechanical systems, instrumentation, and SCADA equipment for the wastewater collections system.

The role reports to the Wastewater Collections Superintendent and includes emergency standby duties. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma/GED with 3+ years in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work, plus Wastewater Collections 2 certification and a Maryland Class B CDL with

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with ≥3 years in mechanical/electrical/instrumentation work.
Experience with maintenance, repairs and equipment rehabilitation.
Certification in Wastewater Collections 2 and a Maryland CDL with Tanker/Airbrake endorsements.

Responsibilities

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical/mechanical systems and instrumentation per work orders.
Maintain logs, reports, parts inventory, and other forms in designated computer programs.
Disassemble, repair, reassemble motors/valves/pumps and evaluate post-repair operation.
Perform electrical work on building distribution circuits and wiring.
Monitor SCADA equipment for wastewater collection systems.
Procure parts, equipment, and services for repairs.
Operate and maintain vehicles, generators, and maintenance equipment.
Respond to emergency and customer calls; standby duty.
Perform minor welding/cutting; fabricate parts as needed.
Potentially operate as an operator for station checks and standby.
Fulfill other duties for safe and continuous facility operation.
