Job summary

FKAA is seeking a Wastewater Maintenance Mechanic C to perform specialized maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems. The role reports to the WW Mechanic Foreman and Wastewater Supervisors and requires skilled work with valves, pumps, chemical feed systems, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing mechanical systems, performing electrical checks, and assisting with plant modifications.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; supplemented by college level coursework or vocational training in pipefitting, mechanical, pumps, electrical.
Four (4) years of previous experience and/or training including pipefitting, mechanical, electrical and pump experience, including FKAA Maintenance Mechanic experience.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience providing the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment, machinery, valves, piping, gauges, and associated equipment in WW treatment plants and collection systems.
Assist with modifications of wastewater collection systems and treatment facilities.
Interpret maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics and diagrams to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
Operate hand and power tools, test equipment, and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
Maintain buildings, grounds, and associated infrastructure; assist with new service lateral installations.
