Job summary

GFT is seeking a seasoned Resident Engineer to lead wastewater construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a hybrid onsite environment. You’ll supervise design implementation, coordinate with contractors, and manage field operations across treatment facilities, pumps, and collection systems.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of wastewater construction experience, strong communication skills, Procore proficiency, and the ability to read complex plans and specs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years construction experience with wastewater treatment plants.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with all project stakeholders.
• Experience with collection and conveyance pipe projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and contract specifications; navigate uneven sites.
• Capable of outdoor work, weekend/night shifts as needed.
• Proficient with project documentation systems like Procore.
• Familiarity with construction schedules and sequencing.
• OSHA 10/30 certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Assurance and technical guidance.
• Review/Approve monthly pay estimates with Contractors.
• Prepare/Review correspondence to/from Contractors and owner.
• Schedule and oversee testing agencies.
• Oversee maintenance of project records.
• Coordinate start-up activities for equipment and facilities.
• Conduct and/or lead construction meetings.
• Coordinate and manage inspectors and on-site personnel.
• Prepare/Review change order documents.
• Assist Document Control staff with schedule compliance.
• Prepare progress reports and Substantial/Final Completion docs.
