Job summary

GFT is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to join our Water team. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at one of our many offices.

In this role you will lead and support the design of wastewater treatment through evaluation of existing processes and facilities, treatment assessments, design of improvements, expansions, and new facilities, permitting, and construction administration.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering; MS preferred.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• 4+ years of wastewater treatment experience with planning and/or process evaluation.
• Experience leading wastewater design projects with budget, schedule, and client responsibilities.
• Knowledge of primary, secondary, and biological wastewater treatment, disinfection, hydraulics, and solids handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design of wastewater treatment through evaluation of existing processes.
• Perform treatment assessments, design improvements, expansions, and new facilities; support permitting and construction administration.
• Conduct site visits, complete treatment studies, develop process recommendations, and prepare reports.
• Serve as a technical specialist in conventional and advanced wastewater treatment processes.
