Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Wastewater Project Engineer for our Sacramento, CA office. You will work on a broad range of wastewater projects, from feasibility to construction support, within a collaborative team environment.

The role involves designing treatment processes, coordinating with clients, and developing construction drawings and specifications. A PE license and strong technical writing skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering; PE license (CA preferred).
• 5-12 years of wastewater infrastructure experience including project engineering/management.
• Proficient in MS Office and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support development of treatment strategies and project delivery.
• Coordinate with clients and internal specialists for project delivery.
• Plan, design, permit, and construct wastewater projects.
• Prepare construction documents and design calculations for treatment processes.
• Lead technical writing for memos and design reports.
• Mentor junior staff and perform QA reviews.
• Support proposals, RFIs, site visits, and travel as needed.
