Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Drinking Water Project Engineer for our Sacramento, California office. You will work on all phases of drinking water and reuse projects, including design, planning, and construction support.

The role involves serving as task lead under the project manager and collaborating with clients and internal technical specialists. Ideal candidates hold a civil/environmental engineering degree, CA PE license (preferred), and 5–12 years of municipal water experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license, California preferred.
• 5–12 years of municipal water treatment experience in teams.

Responsabilités

• Project engineering and management for drinking water/reuse projects from planning through design.
• Serve as task lead and deputy project manager.
• Support proposal development and client coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and review work products.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
• Prepare construction documents including drawings and specs for water treatment.
• Lead technical writing for memos, master plans, and design reports.
• Provide construction phase services and respond to RFIs.
